The Marvelous Macaron

Finally, I have succeeded in making the french macaron. I tried about a year ago and couldn't get them right. Then for my birthday my friend gave me Macarons: Authentic French Cookie Recipes from the Macaron Cafe by Cecile Cannone.  I decided it was time to tackle them again. I set out all the ingredients and followed the recipe exactly. Sometimes I don't quite follow the recipes exactly so end up either ruining the recipe or coming up with my own.  This time I was determined to get it right. Not only did my first batch turn out but every batch I have made has turned out. They all have feet! If you have tried making macarons you know what I mean. So if you want to make macarons I highly recommend this book. So far my favorite is the macaron with vanilla swiss buttercream and the one with nutella. How can you go wrong with Nutella!
